The Ministry of Justice is backing away from amending the Criminal Code to introduce a qualified type of stalking in the Harassment for the purpose of forcing repayment of debts, which provision was intended to protect debtors, and hit the debt industry hard. The justification shows that such behavior can fit within the current wording of the provision. The withdrawal of this change should be viewed positively.
