Due to a server malfunction, the Ministry of Finance today postponed the final (already extended due to the coronavirus pandemic) deadline for submitting data to the Central Register of Real Beneficiaries. We wrote about the CRBR itself earlier here. Counter-intuitively, this is important information in terms of factoring application processing and the activities of AML / AML Compliance departments in the factoring industry. The lack of beneficiary disclosure for a company applying for factoring as of tomorrow will already be a situation that needs to be clarified - especially for those applying for factoring and therefore going through the factoring company's risk assessment procedure for the first time. Of course, there is never enough time to do this - but perhaps this is also a good time to take a look at the CRBR for factoring companies against whose beneficiary determinations we were agonizing before - now should clarify whether our dispatches were in line with the findings of the factoring company itself.
